Goodness

Halloween came and went and I didnt put up "Weecheee" my Latest doll!! Sort of a GOTH witch!!! Please note the belt and necklace..I lost the first two to Kami-- and had to go buy two more-- So If she likes it!!! I am not being too dark minded going into GOTH !! I have always liked the simple lil black dress etc and bling -- so guess I was Goth/minded --clothes-wise anyway-- and didnt know it !! hope everyone had a nice Trick n Treat weekend --The tales I could tell-- with the lil wonders that came to our door-- Poor things -- we had some scary things up.. Never took pixs-- Never enough time anymore -- it seems---but the only pixs I wish-- I had -- was their faces at our door --- One lil boy said-- Boy -- you have it so scary-- I almost didnt come up here--- now thats the way I like it I like it!!! teehee Course you wouldnt know it by Weecheee She is a pretty witch !!!

Frustrations

Why Frustrations--well for one I have never attempted a primative doll and I had a hard time going simple me with the big eyes and realistic looks etcetc Didnt realize I had a style until this doll and then I put my twist on her and she wasnt a primative I also put up the first look before I reguessoed her to do over My youngest critic said AWWW GranMA I like the first doll better More YOU!! See why she is my favorite Critic(teehee) anyway I dont like gray grunge so Thanks to Sherri (Goshen) I grunged her up-- brown only I used coffee-- and now-- she smells like she lived in a coffee bag --but we all like coffee here---I put both doll faces up to show the change and remind me of my first attempts and to add to a gee whiz week I cannot get my bloger to let me send thanks to all the nice people who visited and commented on the angels below.. Hope it doesn carry ono to this week too I did my time teehee

question??????

I have made several angel ornaments for the Holidays but they are already spoken for..However I want to do a few for holiday " giveaway ".. a break in my order filling -- relaxes me-- so the question is-- Which type of angel do you like??? I put the vote to the family and everyone had a different favorite --Sooo I am throwing it out to you to help Much appreciated Ps I can never duplicate ( my problems since I dont go by molds and patterns and such but I can make SIMILAR I hope hahaha

Black and white

Use to be that simple for me to create Now I change my mind so often the blurrr I create is maddening Take this lil ghost no witch no bat doll Oh my what will she be?? My Lil granddaughter lous her tho so that is good enough for me She is my partner in crating things soooooo Here is What is new at our house.. If we can keep MR Moo our black cat away He pays a lil too hard Chewed up the face of one of my soon to be swaps so had to do her over Oh my !!!! Never a dull moment!!

Sent to school --My husband is sooo glad because I wanted to add clay to the the colums--Make them fatter as the roof came out bigger than expected but he said it is Kamis project and not a judged model

He calls me Ms Monk -- and I guess I do push to redo a lil too much so It has left the buildingPoor lil Kami painted the colums --a second time getting inside to do it too -- was a lil hard but she did it MY lil MISSIE MONK???Oh Granma what have you started or created here --another ms Monk-- But we had fun!! now on to the next

Craftin Homework --with my 9 year old grandaughter -- we-- decidec to use the easiest materials-- and go from there ---We have to make the Parthenon -- so--- so far--- we have used pencils from the dollar store--- and foam from Michaels -- and paper clay --- Lots to be done yet-- but Yea ----We have a start--- Any suggestions???

--I was making something for my toodler "witch" to hold--- but (Lumpkin)ended up too big and distracting--- SO I will have to let her do her own thing--Her blankee is a spider web net-- How kool is that???-Her lil outfit is from a (new) halloween sock/// With my husband's coming surgery-- which will limit outings-- I will be creating up a storm --I hope haha-- SO need to hold a giveaway .. Just have to learn the ropes here-- Now who do I bug to help me out here -Instruct me on what to do I was real proud of myself ---I put some of my creations up on flckr finally ....I love the slide show Wish I had all my things from a lil farther back but hey better late than never.... inch by inch as they say

I started my Halloween projects early --as September will be a crazy month here with -- Wellll all months are crazy around here..but we have hip surgery and eye surgery and you name it coming due in that month....SOoooo I tried to get in the Halloween mood..Must be in one-- cuz not only have I made some Halloweenie thingies -- but already sold some ---Here are a few Some finished /some unfinished..Had to make a new witch- pin- keep but it has a different face... Hope this one doesnt sell before I mail it out... I told my promoters (my grans) shhhh not ready yet -- now If I wanted to sell-- I couldnt-- hohoh-- but when I dont want to -- they goooooooooooooo!!!!

I ALWAYS TELL MYSELF

I am going to take pixs ---step by step--- but what lil time I get to craft-- I rush thru evrything so fast ---I am almost done before I think about pixs--- I am making a Halloween pin keep and a shadow box!! I have changed my mine soooo many times on the shadow. box... I am never comfortable in swaps I have such quirky taste -- I worry about the receiver ?? Oh welllll Here is my " unfinished" pin keep!! She has an orange face .... molded fromADC-- I found some orange strawy looking weed from one of my sache kits/ dont you love my techinal explaintions???She is m olded on a lil knob like thing -- so she can be picked-up by it-- I need to make her arms and hat from some shiny black chenile and whatever else I decide to do hmmmmmm I think the docs meds are getting to me!!!! the underside of the pinkeep has boo in case you might look Yep Quirky-- thats me

Oops Sorree I forgot to make it right-- Still cute on its side -- This is what my lil granddaughter made at her art camp -- MUSART all by herself...The pixs she drew will be hung in downtown Apex for a week or so ..and the pixs her mom took of her playing cello and violin and guitar and piano are still not in my hands....She is Nine..Wont even ask my mom what I did at nine hmmmm

blast from the PAST

First--- my daugther says--- she is going to find and give me a "cd" she had made --of pixs of some of my older craftin days --Don't remember imortalizing anything in photos back then-- maybe I just knew --they would better be forgotten???? Then my mom -- who is in her 90's--has decided to redistribute "her" clutter.. mostly things I had made her!! So since I am still not up to crafting...I decided to give myself a giggle and anyone else who decided to peek in ..and hopefully show you do et better with time ---welll you are suppose to ..if you stick to it and practice and---not jump around to new things--- all the time----Thatll learn me!?!?!?!?!?!??!?Where shall I start???! welll lets see grab a cuppa coffee cuz the first one is one I made for mom (and similar ones for her two friends..however-- I only have hers) they use to meet at a lil coffee place (she lives in Fla -- so most places have Spanish names..This one is "El Gallo de ORO " or the Golden Rooster...I made them in clay years ago and they havent chipped or faded WOW!!! I also made A Golden rooster in old lame --with wire legs etcetc for the owner and a tole painted picture of a Rooster-- lookin at his watch-- sayin -- Time for -- El Gallo de ORO!! Those --I dont have pixs of --nor were they returned-- I guess that is a good sign??More oldies later !!!

I think

don't everyone disappear -- but I think --I need a new camera---This one only takes one or two pics-- per new battery --and I don't take good pics anyway...Maybe-- just maybe-- a new one would help---Anyway.. I am almost finished with my Friendly Plastic projects..I am really glad I found out-- that you can just heat FP --with an embossing gun --to work with it-- instead of the hot water bathe and the oven or electric skillet thing.I am sure those-- are needed also-- for more creative approaches-- but this one does the trick for someone in my position.. bed craftin-- hmmm---- Oh well-- takes all kinds-- and you can usually find all kinds blogging-- soooo here I am--While doing these gals-- I thot of a lot of different approches to FP .. I may try when able....... SO--I backed these gals with black FP--- to make them stronger-- but I forgot the front gets a wee bit soft too-- and will pick up smudges from the fingers .. learn while you work they always say!!!I used Yarn for hair because the colors seem to fit !?!? I haven't decided whether to gloss over the yarn(hair) --or just leave it ..I liked the faces better after I put a finish on them .. Back to the ol drawing board ---

Forgot to show the mermaid tail - - - oops- and tell you that she is only 2 inches --dont think I will be able to work that small any more---THe leaf afiry is 8 inches so that might be possible I lov real small things Guess I will have to change my views on that!?!?!?!

Bright spot

The only bright spot today-- was crafting in my bed again...Really-- just taking my UFO and finally doing something with them--One lil clay fairy-- I have had sitting around-- for over ten months--waiting to be finished... I dressed her in leaves-- no less-- and I had all sorts of gossemer material-- I was going to use --go figure-- No sewing just a lil glue .. I also glued some fiber--- for a lil tail on a pin--- and thot I wuld show a journal I had made...Just because I cant do much --my poor muse is going heywire with ideas---Cest la vie------

Talk about getting a get well boost!! Linda WALSH put up ---a too kind interview --on her blog --- I LOVE CRAFTS ---for blogs and top blogs--- OH Dear Linda--- I wish I wasnt so computer illterate -- I wanted to put your title on my blog and in my emails-- but I have to ask for help----I have a few awards people sent me that I dont know how to put up ---Honest!!! Makes me so mad at myself--- I dont want people to think I am not grateful--- but I need to learn how to do this ..I keep thinking I am talking to myself like a diary here.. apparently not so Thanks guysand esp thanks LInda That was soo sweet of you I am still blushing hugs jandee

Crafting Where??????

What do you do with a Crafter that is sentenced to stay in bed due to one thing and to wear an eye patch due to another??? You prop her up and surround her with things She can do !?!?! or try to do --- to keep her from being a complete PIB!!! Don't know how long this will work?? but here is some of the things I have done this last week-- IN BED --- I dont even remember the weeks before so Must be getting better!!--Had eye surgery that didnt get off the ground too good Still hoping for better days..Maybe a better mood will help??hoho And an old problem I thot I had controled --Reared its ugly head -- but hey-- You can hand sew in bed and you can draw--two of my favorite sports --uh-- crafts --- so I dressed my lil bear (i had made earlier )and I was dressing one of my dolls -- but not sure I like it --- I took the easy way out with a ribbon ---We' ll see ---A t least I am doing something !!!!!!and I decided to use my oil pastels -- Less messy in bed--- and draw the face I have in mind--- for a new doll..Janika...I may just draw for awhile --- it was fun!!! Even with one eye which needs surgery too!! Just doing this made me feel better---I also got my daughter's lap top ---to Blog --in bed---Everyone says--- Oh how wonderful .. to do things from your bed WOnderful would be being to be my old wild self OUT OF BED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS A big thanks to my hubby for taking these pixs..

Had to put up some pixs of my goodies from the UK ..for winning the challenge for Pinky!!! I am so excited to hurry back from the hospital and make something with them -- I thank Madeleine Sara for the wonderful goodies and the group --Textile Figure Forum UK--- for choosing Pinky so I could get them !!! Makes for a wanna-- speedy---recovery ---- dont you think??

Project really --- I decided to make TED E.. BEAR--- IN fact I received some pixs of animals from my DAZ site ---That are so cute -- they call them TOONS -- but they have charactor ( DAZ is a 3d illustrator site-- ANyway--- I may try more---Since I find half the fun is figuring out how to make them --without a pattern//Keeps my boredom level low -- but does elevate the frustration level at times--- MY Bad -- What ever -- He is made of Non- pill- fleece and he will stay naked --until I finsh some other projects-- like CHallenges and swaps etc I am behind in -- Kami said -- that is okay -- because she like his lil belly showing??

"PNKY" won first place-- in mixed media challenge in a UK Club --I belong to-- Think My face is pinker than her hair--- but it is a great feeling Specially since some eye surgery is coming up and I may not be able to create or create much for awhile Oh My see ya when I stop walking on air hmmmm

The first lil lady in black was suppose to be my Yoga lady Have to work some more on this pin She has wire hair and bead legs and arms wrapped in black yarn and a flat bead face.. The next pix is the final outfit I made for the pink pin... Everyone here --- liked it the best ---I sort of liked the longer pink skirt (thrid pix) more dreamy!! But the majority won !!! She is now had a petal skirt because the bead legs show more... I love lil pins ---- doesnt take as long to make--- but darn it does take time to think up and do hohoho --cant win!! Wont try -- but --will just keep on trying things out!!!
